Family and Special Events
The City of Tomball and the Tomball Police Department pride
themselves on their relationship with the personnel who work
so diligently, and their families. There are numerous family
oriented events, held throughout the year, which welcomes
the entire family to participate and helps support our
personnel and their families. The Tomball Police Department
holds the values of family life to a high regard. This is
visualized by the constant support of the Command Staff,
when making the daily routine of police life a family
affair. The Tomball Police Department shows pride in the
exemplary conduct and performance displayed by the Police
Officers who wear the uniform with Pride, Integrity and
Professionalism.
National Police Week
President Kennedy recognized the role of law enforcement
personnel and, in 1962, proclaimed May 15 of each year as
Police Officers Memorial day in honor of Federal, State and
municipal officers who have been killed or disabled in the
line of duty, further designating the calendar week during
which such May 15 occurs as Police Week, in recognition of
the services given by the men and women who, night and day,
stand guard in our midst to protect us through enforcement
of our laws.
The Tomball Police Department is an example of excellence in
responding to law enforcement needs of our community,
regardless of the peril or hazard to themselves. Each year,
a ceremony is held for the friends and family of Tomball
Police Officers who risk their lives on a daily basis. This
ceremony honors fallen officers and shows appreciation for
the profession that these men and women have chosen.
